Makeup of the day. Lashes and liner day.

Trying to master the art of makeup is hard. I am still learning how to put eyelashes on. But the only way i’m going to get better at doing makeup is by doing it. And now that I am looking at the photos I forgot to put mascara on. Ooops 😀

But I just want to tell you that if you aren’t that good at makeup, don’t ever give up. You can be good at as long as you practice.

Review and swatches of Makeup revolution matte 2 pallette

I have been loving the brand Makeup revolution. I have bought one of the cream contour palette, and I love it. So i decided to buy another one, but this time one of their eyeshadow palettes. I was really drawn to some of the orange/red/burgundy eyeshadow.

Good things:
The eyeshadows are so creamy/soft.
They are not super powdery.
The darker colors are really pigmented.
They blend super easily.
They are buildable.
It has a big mirror.

Bad things:
The lighter colors are not that pigmented.
The palette itself  you can quickly see fingerprints.
The box/packaging that it comes with is orange I would love it, if the palette was orange/red. That way you could easily tell the other palettes apart from each other.

My August Favorites

I haven’t really done a favorites of the month. So I have been collected some of my favorite products. The last month have been all about skincare. I have really been trying to collect the skincare products that really have been working out for me.

Btw can you believe it already is september. Like what?!

The first product is from The Body Shop. This is what I have to say about the product I LOVE IT. I think this is amazing. It is a liquid peel. It is like nothing I have ever tried before. When you use it, you have to use it in circular  motions, then it starts to clump up, and that is all your dead skin, then you wash it off, and you have this ” new” skin,” and you look so fresh. I use this ones a week.

The next product is from makeup revolution. I watched a youtube video, where someone was talking about makeup revolution, And I decided i had to try it out for myself. There is also a powder version of this, it is a bit different. I was really confused if I should get the powder or the cream version, but I decided to get the cream. because I have been really into cream products.

The next product is a tanning product from Dove, but this is a gradual tanner. which i like a lot better. This looks really natural, and it just give me a sun kissed look, because I am naturally really pale. And I just think it suits me better with a bit of color. I love this one, I have been using this for a long time now. And whenever it is on sale I stock of, but also because it is a really popular product and it sells out quickly.

Loreal cleanser. I been wanting to try this product for a long time. Because i struggle alot with blackheads on my nose. I haven’t been using it for too long to give a full review, but one thing I can tell is that is have made my skin really soft.

Vaseline in a spray form. I tend to forget to moisturise my body. But I find this really easy. What I do is I spray it on ,rub it in, and I feel like it really goes into my skin quickly , and it doesn’t’ make my skin really greasy or anything. I can quickly put on my clothes afterwards.

Plasir by matas. This i from a store called Matas, and it is something you only can get in that shop. But I have been loving this. It makes my skin so glowy and healthy looking. It is so so good. If you can find it, You need to try it out. I am not sure if it would help on oily skin, because I have dry skin.

The last product is also from L’oreal. This is also a product I have been wanting to try for so long. It is a clay masks. I love masks they can do so much. This help with the pores and. It makes your skin feel really clean.

Makeup of the day

I am really trying to get better at makeup. I originally wanted to put some lashes on, because I want to be better at applying them, but then I realised that I didn’t have any lash glue. I Know I have really long lashes as it is, but I needed a bit of volume, and of course practice for applying the lashes.

I feel like I tend to stick to brown shadows, but I promise the next makeup look, I will play with some more colors. Because sometimes you have to step outside your comefort zone.

I didn’t apply any mascara on my bottom lashes, and I think it looks okay. And I used my favorite foundation.

Blue eyeliner and orange lips

I feel like summer is almost over. Where I live it has been raining a lot, and I feel like the weather was all over the place this summer. But I must admit I love the month of september, because that is my birthday month. I am just not looking forward to winter, because it gets so cold. i hate cold weather. But maybe that’s because I have a hard time staying warm.

Dewey skin and Bronzed eyes

I have a very dry skin, so dewy skin is a must for me. i love it <3

So if you have oily skin, then this might not me a look for you. On the other hand you could just use your favorite foundation and make it more matte.

How I stay motivated to work out, and tips on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle

I have always loved working out, but sometimes my motivations for me gets really low. I have been trying a lot of different things. And I wanted to share with you what works and for me. Try to remember that these things works for me, so there might be different things that works for you. The first thing you need to learn, is to try to listen to your body. Don’t do these thing if you hate doing them, do them because YOU want to.

  1. Work out when you have the most energy
    I hate working out when I get home from school, I feel lazy. And when I get home I have homework to do. And after I have made my homework, I have to make dinner. And after that I just want to relax. So i try to work out first thing in the morning, i feel like I get a lot of energy, and I fell more focused when I get to school. And even my metabolism gets boosted.
  2. Get some inspiration
    I try to look for inspiration pretty much everywhere. I use a lot of social media, especially instagram. i follow people that are a little fitter than me. I  do not want to look exactly like that. because we are all on our own journey, and let face it we all have different body types. Instead I try to say I want to be as strong as her. Or just use that person for motivation, and sometimes say if she can do it I can do it too. But be careful, many of the pictures on instagram is photoshopped, so many of the people dont actually look like that. so just be careful.
  3. Stay away from all the bad food
    If you have a hard time staying away from candy, and chips and so on. Stop buying them, dont have them lying around in your cupboard. I know I have a really hard time staying away from those snacks if I have them lying, instead buy fruits and veggies, that you can easily grab on the go. or even healthy bars that contain a low fat and sugar.
  4. Make yourself a workout plan
    I work out 5 times a week. for sometimes 30 to 45 minutes. sometimes 1 hour, but only if I have the time. And I use Blogilates workout calendar. It gives me the workouts I need to do that day. And I try to follow them everyday, or if there are any workout videos that I don’t like, I switch it out with another one. Also because I live in an apartment I can’t jump around, so I try to do more quiet but effective workouts. If you subscribe to her email you can get an code each month you have to write to acces the calendar. you can just search for her name on youtube. And if I don’t want to do some of her workout videos I use the channel Fitnessblender. They have so many exercises that there is something for everyone, no matter what fitness level you are on.
  5. Just do It
    Sometimes there are times when I really don’t fell like working out, but I tend to just do it, even though I dont want to. There are sometimes where I don’t do it, but then I kind of miss it. I also think the more you incorporate it in your daily routine, the more it is just going to be habit for you. And I always try to remember that in the long run I am going to be stronger, happier and halthier. Sometimes it takes a long time to get a body you can be happy about, but if you eat healthy and work out then you have nothing to worry about.
  6. See the progress
    Especially in the beginning you have a tendency to quit, and you dont see your body changing. But as I said it takes a while before you can see those changes, and you may not be able to see those changes yourself, so go out and ask others if they see a changes in your body. Or even take pictures of yourself and then go back to look at them, when some months have passed. I also think you have to say, I am happier now, you may not see a  big change in your body, but you can tell in how your felling. Being able to say I am happier, stronger and healthier instead of saying I am skinnier is so powerful to me, and makes me more happy to think about that instead.
  7. Get a workout partner
    sometimes it really helps you to be motivated when you have someone to, for example go to the gym with. Or even go running. Or if there are any exercise that you like to do together. It sometimes help that there are another person in the same situation as you, that can help you in this hard progress.
  8. Look at recipes
    I look at recipes that I want to make, and also incorporate food that actually tastes good. It really gets me excited to make my food, and eat it. I use Pinterest whenever I want to have some recipe inspiration. They have so  many recipes.

Last minute easter treat – Rice Krispies with homemade cookie dough eggs 🐣

I wanted to do some more easter treats. this one is super easy and it doesn’t take a lot of time to do. The eggs are the only thing that takes up a little more time, because you have to shape them.

 

 

Ingrediens:

70 grams of oatmeal
60 grams of ground almonds
1 Tbsp of coconut oil
1 tbsp almond butter/peanut butter
About 60 grams of rice krispies
2 tbsp of pure maple syrup
1 tbsp of freeze dried raspberries
1 bar of chocolate or 90 grams

how to I make them
You start by melting the chocolate in a water bath. When the chocolate is melted you put in the rice krispies. just put in the rice krispies little by little. I put in a little less than what it says in the recipe. Then you put in some cupcake/muffin liners, when you have added the mixture you want to spread it out a bit so it look like a little nest. you want to let the chocolate dry.

After that you need to ground up the oats, so they turn into a flour. Now melt the coconut oil and put in the maple syrup, the peanut butter and mix it together. After that add the grounded oats and the almond flour. Lastly add the freeze dried raspberries. You can even split up the “dough” and add some chopped chocolate to the one of them and add some freeze dried raspberries to the other. I just put  freeze dried raspberries in. Now comes the part that takes quite a long time. You want to form the “dough” into eggs, I wasn’t very good at shaping the eggs, but it is homemade, so it dosen’t have to be perfect. I think they look alright. Just do the best you can. Now add the eggs to the nest and then you are done, and you can enjoy them.

Easy Easter Treat number 1 – Rice crispy with eggs and sprinkles

I want to create som easy easter recipes, so this is the first one. I don’t know exactly how many i want to do, but right now I have two recipes in my mind that I want to do.

Ingredients you need:

40 grams of butter
150 grams of marshmallow
About 140 grams of rice krispies
Some colored sprinkles or some of your choice
some fun easter candy. I used these sugar eggs.
You can use any easter related candy you want, you could even put chocolate in if you want.

Obviously this is not at healthy, but I don’t make very often so I think it is okay.

What to do next:

You need to get a pot that is medium to large so you can stir easily.
First you need to melt your butter in your pot, when the butter is melted you put the marshmallows in. You don’t want to high heat, or else you are going to burn your marshmallows. you just want to melt your marshmallow so there aren’t any clumps. turn off the heat and quickly add you rice krispies into the marshmallow mixture and add your sprinkles and candy in to the mixture. You could put the candy in first, and then the rice krispies, but I just did it in that order. It was a little hard to stir, but i managed.

Then you need to put it in a tin either rubbed with some butter or lined with a baking sheet.I think it is easier to put  baking sheet, the you can get it out super easy. Be carefull not to burn yourself if you are touching the marshmallow and rice Krispie mixture, you can add some water, butter or vegetable oil on to your hands so it dosen’t stick. Cause it will be sticky. I put mine in a really small tin or whatever you want to call it. Obviously I got really big squares out of it, so just use a smaller tin if you want.

Then you need to let it cool before you cut it, but it wont take long. Now you can cut it in to squares or any shape your prefer.
