How I stay motivated to work out, and tips on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle

I have always loved working out, but sometimes my motivations for me gets really low. I have been trying a lot of different things. And I wanted to share with you what works and for me. Try to remember that these things works for me, so there might be different things that works for you. The first thing you need to learn, is to try to listen to your body. Don’t do these thing if you hate doing them, do them because YOU want to.

  1. Work out when you have the most energy
    I hate working out when I get home from school, I feel lazy. And when I get home I have homework to do. And after I have made my homework, I have to make dinner. And after that I just want to relax. So i try to work out first thing in the morning, i feel like I get a lot of energy, and I fell more focused when I get to school. And even my metabolism gets boosted.
  2. Get some inspiration
    I try to look for inspiration pretty much everywhere. I use a lot of social media, especially instagram. i follow people that are a little fitter than me. I  do not want to look exactly like that. because we are all on our own journey, and let face it we all have different body types. Instead I try to say I want to be as strong as her. Or just use that person for motivation, and sometimes say if she can do it I can do it too. But be careful, many of the pictures on instagram is photoshopped, so many of the people dont actually look like that. so just be careful.
  3. Stay away from all the bad food
    If you have a hard time staying away from candy, and chips and so on. Stop buying them, dont have them lying around in your cupboard. I know I have a really hard time staying away from those snacks if I have them lying, instead buy fruits and veggies, that you can easily grab on the go. or even healthy bars that contain a low fat and sugar.
  4. Make yourself a workout plan
    I work out 5 times a week. for sometimes 30 to 45 minutes. sometimes 1 hour, but only if I have the time. And I use Blogilates workout calendar. It gives me the workouts I need to do that day. And I try to follow them everyday, or if there are any workout videos that I don’t like, I switch it out with another one. Also because I live in an apartment I can’t jump around, so I try to do more quiet but effective workouts. If you subscribe to her email you can get an code each month you have to write to acces the calendar. you can just search for her name on youtube. And if I don’t want to do some of her workout videos I use the channel Fitnessblender. They have so many exercises that there is something for everyone, no matter what fitness level you are on.
  5. Just do It
    Sometimes there are times when I really don’t fell like working out, but I tend to just do it, even though I dont want to. There are sometimes where I don’t do it, but then I kind of miss it. I also think the more you incorporate it in your daily routine, the more it is just going to be habit for you. And I always try to remember that in the long run I am going to be stronger, happier and halthier. Sometimes it takes a long time to get a body you can be happy about, but if you eat healthy and work out then you have nothing to worry about.
  6. See the progress
    Especially in the beginning you have a tendency to quit, and you dont see your body changing. But as I said it takes a while before you can see those changes, and you may not be able to see those changes yourself, so go out and ask others if they see a changes in your body. Or even take pictures of yourself and then go back to look at them, when some months have passed. I also think you have to say, I am happier now, you may not see a  big change in your body, but you can tell in how your felling. Being able to say I am happier, stronger and healthier instead of saying I am skinnier is so powerful to me, and makes me more happy to think about that instead.
  7. Get a workout partner
    sometimes it really helps you to be motivated when you have someone to, for example go to the gym with. Or even go running. Or if there are any exercise that you like to do together. It sometimes help that there are another person in the same situation as you, that can help you in this hard progress.
  8. Look at recipes
    I look at recipes that I want to make, and also incorporate food that actually tastes good. It really gets me excited to make my food, and eat it. I use Pinterest whenever I want to have some recipe inspiration. They have so  many recipes.

Hvodan forbliver jeg motiveret til at træne?

En dag sidder jeg foran min computer, ser min yndlings serie og sidder og spiser en pose slik…
Jeg har nu i flere måneder kigget på videoer fra youtube om hvilket workouts, man kan lave hvor man taber sig, men lige pludselig går det op for mig. mens jeg sidder og ser min yndlings serie kunne jeg træne og blive mere sund.
Jeg har altid gerne ville træne, men jeg har aldrig følt mig motiveret nok til at gøre det. Hvis jeg nogensinde skulle starte med at træne kan jeg lige så godt gøre det nu, ellers får jeg det aldrig gjort.

Jeg begynder at træne og jeg har aldrig haft mere andrenalin i kroppen, og jeg elsker den følelse jeg får når jeg sveder helt vildt, fordi så føler jeg at der faktisk sker noget. Og at jeg gør fremskridt.

Lige nu træner jeg ikke så meget som jeg gjorde førhen, men jeg prøver stadig at klemme en træning ind i mit skema en gang imellem.

Hvordan fobliver jeg så motiveret?

Det er selvfølgelig godt hvis du føler dig motiveret når du træner, men det skal være hver gang for ellers går du simpelthen død i din træning.

Fitbit:

d81f9e9f5c668f8abc0cf1cfea267927 (1)En fitbit er et armbånd eller et device (kan fås i flere modeller) som holder styr på dine skridt, kalorier, distance og søvn. Her kan du også tilknytte den til din telefon så du hele tiden er opdateret på hor mange skridt du tager osv.
Du kan også sætte en alarm og den har endda caller ID.
Hvad jeg elsker ved fitbitten at den har super langt batteriliv, den kan holde op til 7 – 10 dage hvilket er super skønt.
Der findes mange på marked som hver er forskellige, men jeg syntes selv at fitbitten er den bedste ude på marked lige nu.
Jo dyrere fitbitten er jo flere features har den. Og jeg har den fitbit der hedder Fitbit charge.

Der er ikke så mange der sælger dem, men jeg ved at coolstuff.dk sælger dem og har dem også i flere modeller. Og jeg ved godt den er dyr, men jeg var heldig at købe den, da den var på tilbud. Jeg syntes selv at den er alle penge værd. Du kan købe den lige her. Hvor du selvfølgelig kan læse  mere op produktet.

se fremskidt
En anden måde jeg er motiveret, er når jeg ser fremskridt. Det behøves ikke at være noget stort, men bare at se lidt fremskridt motivere mig.

Lad være med at kigge på vægten
Jeg ved det lyder svært og måske lidt mærkeligt, men det er sandt.
Jeg var den der altid kiggede på vægten når jeg var færdig med at træne, men jeg tænkte aldrig på hvordan jeg faktisk havde det indeni. Hvordan jeg havde det med mig selv. jeg havde det faktisk fantastisk, så hvorfor bekymrede jeg mig så meget over hvilke tal der stod på vægten? Så tænk på mere hvordan du har det indeni.

Rollemodel
Er der en du kigger meget op til? Så kan du også prøve og se på dem. Sig ikke du vil være som dem, men mere at du gerne vil have en halvt så smuk krop som hende eller ham. Prøv ikke på noget du ved du ikke kan opnå.
Jeg ved nemlig selv at jeg vil aldrig kunne få en så smuk krop som en af de mest top trænede mennesker på instagram f.eks.
